You may have noticed in the World of Hypnosis video that Dr. Joe Green said that it was “the people” associated with clinical hypnosis that first attracted him to the subject matter of hypnosis. In this section I will include longer video interviews with some of those special people who attend the hypnosis society meetings, research hypnosis and/or use hypnosis in the clinical setting. I think you will agree that the quality of the people involved with clinical hypnosis is something we can be very proud of. While a few of these individuals had some advance warning that I wanted an interview, most agreed to the interview while attending meetings with no chance for preparation. It has been said that people can be divided into two groups: fishermen and photographers. Fisherman will never tell you their secrets, afraid you will find their favorite fishing hole or learn their special techniques. Photographers on the other hand can’t wait to tell you how they took the shot, what shutter speed, aperture setting etc. Thankfully, those involved with clinical hypnosis seem to fall into the photographer’s camp, willing to share everything with others wanting to learn. I hope you will enjoy their generous gifts of time and talent.
